Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a substance thought to be pepper spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.

These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after exiting a car park lift, police said.

A young child was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
