Rob Edwards along with O'Neil represent the initial candidates in the frame to succeed the former manager as manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The previous coach was dismissed on Sunday after the squad's 10-match without a victory start to the top-flight campaign.

Furthermore both candidates - each of whom have previous associations to the club - are part of the names to be evaluated by the Wolves ownership.
